More New Discoveries

Corbin is always learning new things!! He is starting to really enjoy his Christmas present, he has even figured out how to turn it on. He gets really excited when the music is playing and the balls are going everywhere. Once in awhile he tips it over and the balls going shooting across the room, but he has fun watching mom and dad chase after them (occasionally he goes after them as well, especially the red one)!!

Happy Easter: Corbin enjoyed his first Easter! We thought about taking him to the local Easter egg hunt, but figured he would find one egg and try to eat it. So, we decided to get him his own set of plastic eggs to play with. Next year he will be big enough to enjoy the hunt :)

My First Teeth!

The only time we can get a picture of his two new teeth is when he was crying. All the other times his tongue gets in the way, and he won't let us hold his mouth open.
At the babysitter's house, Corbin loves pulling himself up to a stand onto this bike. We thought this picture was cute! It looks like Corbin is saying "Hey, baby, want to ride my Harley?" and Kalee is saying "Well, I am not sure if I should."

First teeth

So Corbin had a cold and it seemed to last for a long time, for almost two weeks, but we found out he had a tooth coming in. A few days later he had a second tooth poking through. He seems to be getting around alot better, and also getting into everything that looks interesting and is within reach. Now that he can move around he doesnt seem to want to sit in his dish or jumper as much anymore, but now wants to stand outside of them and still play with the toys. He has also recently started moving and dancing when he hears music.

March 6 2008 - We are Crawling!!!

8 months and 1 day old, Corbin started crawling at the babysitter's house. When I came over at lunch Nicole said "I have good news and bad news! Corbin crawled for the first time!!!, but the bad news is that you have a crawling child :)" Needless to say we were very excited!! Now we have to start baby proofing the house. This first video is his second attempt at crawling.

This second video is Corbin showing daddy that he can crawl!! "Hey, dad look what I can get into now!"

Feb 25, 2008: The Beginning Stage of Crawling: Corbin had started to be on all fours and rocking back-and-forth. In this video, if you listen closely you can hear him making a "clicking" noise. Caven would make this noise when he was in the womb, as well as now. I have no idea how they both do it, but it is fun to see that Corbin is starting to pick up on things we do (at the same time, that could be a bad thing, better start watching what we do). We are trying to teach him sign language, but for now he just looks at us and laughs. He does seem to understand what we are signing, for example, when we sign food (just before his bottle) he gets really excited.

Learning to stand

So Corbin is now learning to crawl, he has figured out how to disasemble the velcro toys on his floor gym. He has learned to sit himself up from laying on his back and he is also pulling himself up to stand. Corbin has been learning to walk around with help from the couch or his parents, and walked through the whole house to get to his mom last night.
